Your Voice is your #1 Tool With Your Dog...

STOP WAISTING IT!

  If you are asking your dog to do something, only ask ONCE! If you ask your dog to sit, and he or she doesn’t sit, and then you say sit, sit, sit... you are then confusing the dog to think that the command for them to sit is now “sit sit sit”. If your dog won’t listen, ask them a different way that doesn’t repeat the command again, for example, take a treat and lure them into the sit, instead of repeating sit again. By repeating yourself you are also teaching your pup that what you ask for doesn't matter.  Don't repeat using your voice!  It's your number one training tool, don't overuse it!
