Just because your dog can "sit" on command at home doesn't mean they're going to care about you AT ALL the first day of class.

THE SECRET: Don't go too far too fast!

Start Simple and Build Up

If you go in that direction you won't end up going backwards!

If you go too far too fast you could poison a behavior for your dog and then trying to get them back to being willing to do it will be miserable.

Even worse, you'll get frustrated that your dog "isn't listening" and give up all together.

Working on behaviors and relationship success takes practice and time.  Give it it's due and don't rush it.
