Class Success Tips
5. RESPECT EACH OTHER'S SPACE.
Please maintain AT LEAST 6 FEET of distance between you and your dog and other owners and their dogs.
This is really important. Each pup is learning at a different pace and has different social skills. By giving everyone their space, we are not crowding the pups and we won't have accidents.

6. IF YOU AREN'T MOVING AROUND, YOUR DOG SHOULD BE ON THEIR BOUNDARY
You'll learn at Week 1 WHAT a boundary is. But basically it's your dog's spot. If we aren't doing an active / moving activity, your job AND your dog's job (yes they have a job) is for your dog to be on their boundary.

7. DON'T GET ANGRY OR FRUSTRATED
This is NOT a contest!!!!!! If your pup isn’t listening to you, don’t get angry or frustrated. If your pup won’t focus, don’t get angry or frustrated. Come to class prepared that it isn’t always going to go perfect. If you get angry and frustrated, your pup is going to think they did something BAD instead of wanting to learn what you want them to do! Pups all learn differently, there’s no one way to teach any command. Keep this in mind, I will come around and talk with you and you can tell me what is and what isn’t working. We will find a way to get your pup doing what we want, and we will do it together. This isn’t a contest so don’t compare your progress or lack thereof to other participants in the class. Just because your pup might not learn a cue as quickly doesn’t mean you aren’t doing well in class. At the end of these 8 weeks I don’t care if your pup can do things perfectly… I care about how far you’ve come together and whether you’ve learned the tools to continue communicating and progressing together even after the end of class!
