Do you want a dog that just listens?

Or, do you want a dog that BEHAVES?

This is a VERY important distinction that I find owners almost never think about.  You want a do that listens to you.  But, do you Always want to be having to tell your dog what to do?  Because that's what regular obedience focused training gets you.  A dog who "listens" when you give them commands, but otherwise checks out and doesn't know how to actually behave.  Which means unless you're standing over them telling them what to do like a drill sergeant, they're doing things you don't like.  Which makes you frustrated, and makes you think you have a "bad" dog.  You get frustrated with training classes and training which simply perpetuate the cycle of "my dog is great in class" but outside class or practice time? Forget it.

Our Group Class Program

We've Revamped Our Entire Group Class Program Again!!!!

Why?  To Bring You Real Life Results!

Not just dogs who are great in training class.

Forget it.

What if I told you, there's a way to train your dog that

actually transfers over into your REAL LIFE and not just "training time."

This means a dog that BEHAVES AND LISTENS?

There is, and you're going to find it here with us!

Our Classes Are Different Than Probably Any One You've Ever Been To!

We don't focus on basic obedience, we focus on Teaching Manners and getting you a well behaved dog to share your life with!

Obedience just means a dog listens when you tell them to do something.  But it means, you have to tell them to do something.  An obedient dog is NOT the same as a well behaved dog.

We want you to have a well mannered dog who doesn't NEED you to tell them what to do to be well behaved; but will also happily listen when you ask them to do something specific.  Think about how nice it would be to know your dog knows his/her manners and doesn't need your help remembering them!

No Repetitive Sit, Down, Stay for an hour to be found here!

Why We're Different

Dogs Just Wanna Have Fun   &   Dogs Think Work Is Fun

Dogs Just Wanna Work

We Train by harnessing this VITAL INSTINCT in your dog,

and teach them how to control it.

Notice how I said there we teach your dog to control their instincts?  That's NOT how most trainers train.  Most trainers use your input to constantly control your dog.  But what happens when you aren't standing over your dog and telling them what to do?  Do they know how to behave?  Have you ever taught them your expectations for when you're not giving them specific instructions?  I bet not!

It's a mind blowing thought, I know.

Think about how when you raise a child, you TEACH them right from wrong,

Then you hope that they practice right from wrong when you're not around to tell them.

This is what allows us to give our kids the freedom to not need supervision and input right?

So, why exactly aren't we doing the same thing for our dogs?  Most trainers only work on the concept of you constantly telling your dog what to do.  This means you always have to be there to tell them.  And if you get distracted or busy?  Well it's a gamble as to whether your dog is going to behave in a way you want or not.

Benefits of a Group Class...

Our group classes are based in the idea of practicing real life behaviors and skills around safe distractions so you can up your skill level with your dog!

One of the biggest cornerstones of our training is "Setting Your Dog Up for Success!" while they're learning.  This is hard to do when exposing your dog to things like a walk down the street because you have very little control of what you come across on your walk.  You might have an uneventful walk, or your dog might be terrified by the sound of a trash truck or have a loose dog come running up to you.

The benefit to a Group Class is that we have a control over most of the group class situation and know that we have about a 90% chance of knowing your dog is going to leave with only a good experience and progress under their belt and yours!

This is a lot like teaching a kid to drive on the road by "side seat driving with them" before you let them go on your own.  We want to Teach your dog Around Good Distractions before we put them in real life situations that might not be good.

Typical Group Classes...

Typical group class models make you attend a certain number of group classes per session to complete the course.

You focus on luring or forcing the dog into basic commands.

Then you get a certificate of completion.

This is hard on your schedule in today’s busy world, and doesn’t really reflect what your dog knows. And usually doesn't transfer much past "class time".  I always hear, my dog is great during class or when we're doing our homework, but outside of that it's game over.  He/She still doesn't listen.

What You Get With Our Classes

Ok so I've said our classes aren't like normal basic obedience ones.

I've even claimed they're worth a lot more than the price... why is that?

You get 8 hours with me.

The first is without the dogs to get everyone on the same page and ready to go for a successful group class, and the next 7 are with the dogs!

8 Private Sessions Hours Would Be... $1280.  You're getting 8 Hours for $180, less than what 2 private sessions would cost!

You Get Structured Distractions

Even private sessions are only an hour at a time, and I can't be with you everywhere.  Group classes allow me to be with you when you come across other dogs and things that may distract your dog's attention from you.  It helps us work together to proof your dog's manners in a safe "mock real life" situation! Before you have to deal with real distractions you don't know are coming.  Think of it as the practice game before the super bowl.

We Teach You Too!

Most classes or trainers teach you for an hour to train basic obedience and it's bye until the next week.

We actually send you tips and tricks of HOW to most successfully work and interact with your dog and achieve your goal results!  That means not only do we show you what to do, but WE EXPLAIN WHY to you so you can understand what we're truly working on and why we do it how we do!  This also means you're armed with what to do when things don't go as you planned and how to deal with it after.

You Get a discount on Private Sessions!

Group Classes won't tackle every issue.  And they aren't meant too.  But, because I know you're working hard in group class and may just want some one on one attention to help you tweak things to make it better... you get a discount on Private Sessions once the class starts and while you're enrolled.

*Must be Officially Enrolled and have not dropped out of the class.

Get all this and more just by signing up for Level 1 Class!

Is Group Class For Your Dog?

Group Class isn't the best place for all dogs to start.  Some dogs have concerns that make group class too much for them to handle to listen and learn at the same time.

Know your dog.  If you're concerned group class may be too much, try taking advantage of our Pre-Class discounted 3 Private Session Package Deal so we can really get you started on the right foot and see if group class would benefit your pup at this point.

Most dogs can get to a point where group class is beneficial, it just might not be where your pup is right now.

Not sure?  Always feel free to contact us for our thoughts about your pup.

Skill Based Group Classes

Our Classes are Skill Based.

This means each group class contains dogs at only 2 skill levels.  So you'll always be working around dogs at or around your skill level.

Higher level dogs provide a calm distraction for lower level dogs, and lower level dogs are a more active distraction for the higher level dogs to have to work around.

You move up in the Levels by being able to demonstrate that as a team you mastered the skills for that level!

How Does This Uniquely Organized Program Benefit You?

  • Succeed by skill level as a team!

  • Completion of a level isn’t based on perfect attendance!

    • Which is easier on your busy schedule.  If you miss a week or two you won’t fall behind in the curriculum being worked on when you come back!

    • You must attend at least 2 sessions at your level, to move up

  • You will feel more successful with your dog, because you’ll have a clear idea of what you’ve learned and accomplished together as you move through the levels!

  • The Levels are Fun! And meant to keep you and your dog’s relationship growing along with your skills.

  • You won’t fall behind if you miss classes!

  • You won’t have to wait to learn new things because the rest of the class is focusing on “beginning” skills.

  • You won’t feel left behind if other teams are picking up more advanced things if you’re getting tripped up by a behavior.

You sign up for classes in 8 week chunks...

Think of it like a 2 month dog training gym membership!  You have the option to come to practice and learn the skills once a week in a  controlled environment!

You come to whatever sessions you can to practice your skills.

So Do You Even Need To Come To Class? …YES!

The levels’ skills build upon each other!

  • So Level 1 teams, this is where the magic begins - we will focus on mastering foundational default behaviors until you and your dog have created your default manners.

  • Level 2 teams will grow their default manners around the distraction of untaught new teams from Level 1 before.  This proofs your pups ability to "behave" in real life situations.

Passing the levels requires your dog can exhibit their default manners in a group setting around distractions.

You can’t pass the levels by just learning the behaviors at home, and never work around other people and dogs

  • Level 3+ Class - this is where the relationship magic takes off!  Your dog knows the default behaviors and they're a master at it.  So now, we get to add in "tests" of their drive and resilience and really start to enjoy our pup's skills and smarts!
